As President of StepStone Real Estate, Jack provides strategic oversight to company operations, creating the firm vision and leading his team by example. He leverages his extensive experience in commercial real estate and years of local industry relationships to provide the highest quality service to clients. Jack is an acknowledged expert in distressed shopping center turnaround strategy and is known for his success in repositioning properties and improving capitalized value.

Before founding StepStone, Jack was a senior vice president of John Burnham & Company, a regional real estate and insurance firm headquartered in San Diego. At Burnham, he managed a portfolio of more than 3.5 million square feet of commercial property and oversaw the division's administration.

Jack graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts. He holds the designation of Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). A licensed California real estate broker, his speaking engagements include being a roundtable speaker at the ICSC National Convention and presenting locally for the Urban Land Institute. He is a member of the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame.
