National Experts Will Provide Answers to Lender/Investor Real Prop Dilemmas At Feb. 4 L.A. Summit Program

By Rense, Kirk*

The California Receivers Forum and The California Bankruptcy Forum are the local hosts for “Distressed Real Estate Summit – California”, a one-day conference on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Westin Bonaventure in downtown Los Angeles.

The Distressed Real Estate Summit series began in New York City in the fall of 2009 with 720 professionals in attendance. The California Summit brings together investors, owners, developers, traditional lenders, alternative lenders, loan workout specialists, special Servicers, receivers, brokers and industry service providers with an emphasis on West Coast opportunities. The program will include panel discussions, debates and networking opportunities.

Agenda Highlights
The agenda will include:

  • California and Southwest Distressed Real Estate: How much debt is in distress, where, and involving what property types?

  • Seeking Distress: Where are the opportunities? And, who will deploy capital in 2010?

  • Alternative, Traditional & Emerging Debt Sources: Who is lending?

  • Buying, Selling & Determining Value: Sharp and fast decline… But equally sharp return? What’s the future hold for California commercial real estate values?

  • Hotels, Hotels, and More Hotels: Should investors buy now, or wait for additional declines in value?

  • Opportunities in Broken Condo Deals: Disposition, acquisition and administration of for-sale housing assets

  • Special Update: Economic stimulation & real estate: “It’s the economy, stupid!” (Now, How Do We Get it Moving?)

The Summit series is produced by GreenPearl Events, based in New York. The CRF and The CBF are the local co-hosts and are assisting with program development, speaker selection and California marketing. The Receivers Forum and the Bankruptcy Forum earn referral fees for any of their members attending the conference, so be sure to check the membership box on your Summit registration form to ensure that either CRF or CBF benefits financially from your attendance.
