Beverly McFarland (Beverly Group, Sacramento) reports that Loren E. McMaster, Sacramento Superior Court Judge (Retired), passed away. After graduating from UC Davis, he was admitted as a member of the first class of the law school at UCD, graduating in 1969. Loren went to work in the California Department of Justice as a Deputy Attorney General. He later formed his own law firm and remained in private practice until 1999 when he was appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court. He received many honors during his judicial tenure, including twice being named Judge of the Year. He retired in 2010. Judge McMaster was very supportive of the receivers he appointed and was always willing to participate in programs on receiverships for the CRF Sacramento Valley Chapter.
