Honorable Edward B Moreton new Judge in Dept 44, Los Angeles Superior Court

The Honorable Edward B. Moreton is the new judge in the post-judgment department (Department 44) of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Judge Moreton replaces the Honorable Mark A. Borenstein, who now sits in Department 35. Judge Moreton was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on January 3, 2007. Prior to being appointed, Judge Moreton worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice; and started his career as an associate at Riordan & McKinzie, in Los Angeles. Judge Moreton does not shy away from making tough decisions, recently issuing an arrest warrant with a bail of $8 million for defying a court order to turn over assets to satisfy a $6.7 million judgment, in Jafa-Bodden v. Bikram Choudhury, et al.
